| To offer more resources and facilities to all young people and students in the municipality | José Ángel Ponce: "the Lorca City Council has invested about 32,000 euros in the adaptation work of the premises until it becomes a large study room with all the necessary resources to offer all the facilities to young people who need a space to study and continue, gradually, with the extension of the network of study rooms ".The Councilors for Youth and Education of the City of Lorca, José Ángel Ponce and Antonia Pérez, have announced the creation of a new study room in the heart of the city and the extension of the network of study rooms to offer more resources and facilities to all the youth and students of the municipality.Ponce explained that "one of the objectives of this Government Team is the commitment to our young people and one of the most important shortcomings that Lorca had was the lack of spaces to study.

For this reason, from the Lorca City Council we have opted for the creation of a self-managed 24-hour study room, as well as the gradual creation of new study rooms that will be located throughout the municipal area ".The mayor has detailed that "this initiative begins with the launch of a new study room in the heart of the city that, after our search for a perfect space in which to create this new service and, moreover, was born with the vocation to become the first self-managed 24-hour study room as soon as the health situation allows it "."The premises are located in the central Plaza del Ibreño, a few meters from the Pilar Barnés library, an open space that exceeds 150 square meters with which we offer our young people and students a new place to study, do work or any other educational need that may arise.

"Ponce Díaz has indicated that "to this space, a multipurpose room of 20 square meters is also added, designed for work groups and on which a transparent enclosure has been made that makes the room acoustically independent from the rest of the premises"."We have installed air conditioning and ventilation equipment, which of course comply with current regulations, and which will be controlled electronically; also luminaires, led type, suitable for the study.

We have also adapted the interior toilet for people with reduced mobility and we have created a room designed as a warehouse for cleaning and materials that may be necessary for the day-to-day life of the room. The Councilor for Youth has shown that "in addition, to adapt the premises to the use we want to give it, we have created an entrance in which an access control system will be installed using a fingerprint, as well as a security system to via camcorders.

"José Ángel Ponce has highlighted that "the Lorca City Council has invested around 32,000 euros in the works to adapt the premises to make it a large study room with all the necessary resources to offer all the facilities to young people who need a space to study and continue, gradually, with the extension of the network of study rooms ".
