The City Council reports that this Wednesday, October 28, work to improve the pavement of Selgas Street will begin, the intervention of which has a five-day execution period and has a budget of 14,000 euros.The Councilor for Development of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, recalled that "this is an action whose objective is to respond to a neighborhood complaint that has been carried out for more than 10 years due to the poor condition of the road, in addition to preparing a street whose road is in very bad condition, as well as keeping the cobblestone in the best conditions since the regulations of the historic center require its replacement when the street is definitively executed ".Isabel Casalduero has detailed that "once the administrative process, which began last October 5 with the request for offers from different companies, will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, this provisional paving action will begin on Selgas Street."The works include the beginning of the street, in the Plaza de España, until its confluence with Granero street, a section with a total length of 200 meters in which the lifting of the existing cobblestones will be carried out, in an area of ??690 meters squares, which will be diverted to municipal facilities to preserve and relocate them in the aforementioned street when they proceed to its integral renovation.For this reason, from the Department of Citizen Safety and Traffic of the City of Lorca, through the Local Police, alternative vehicle transit itineraries have been established, for the better development of traffic safety in our city, while the pavement improvement works.The granary street will be enabled for road traffic in the direction of circulation towards c) Selgas in order to facilitate an alternative route consisting of axis c) General Eytier - c) Barn for access to the neighborhood of San Pedro and Courts, c) Nogalte enabled c) Father Morote in both directions in order to facilitate access to the neighborhood of San Pedro, Courts and all directions.While pedestrians are advised to be cautious to avoid accidents, the Local Police will also monitor and indicate to the company responsible for the works the corresponding signage for alternative vehicle transit routes.
