| Supporting commerce and hospitality through the videos 'What a joy to see you again' and 'I support the hospitality industry' | The Department of Economy, Industry, Commerce, Crafts and Public Companies of the City Council of Lorca collaborates with the Union of Merchants and the Association of Hoteliers to disseminate two new videos, one in support of local commerce and another in defense of bars and restaurants from LorcaOctober 29, 2020.
The vice mayor and councilor for the Economy, Industry, Commerce and Crafts, Francisco Morales, presented this morning together with Iván Bastida, president of the Regional Union of Merchants of Lorca, and Jesús Abellaneda, president of Hostelor, two campaigns to support local commerce and the hotel industry to reactivate consumption in our municipality.Francisco Morales has stated that "in recent months, both merchants and hoteliers have experienced a very complicated stage marked first by the confinement of businesses and the population, and the restrictions and adaptations marked by the health crisis to face the spread of of COVID-19 ".The Councilor for Economy has detailed that "The restrictions have not ended but we must emphasize that, thanks to all the measures carried out by the hoteliers and merchants of Lorca, making purchases in Lorca, consuming in their establishments, is safe.
And for that reason We want to encourage people from Lorca to be protagonists of the reactivation of consumption in Lorca.
Our merchants, our hoteliers, have suffered a lot and have adapted their businesses to offer maximum security to their customers, and now it is up to us to help them to guarantee their survival.
"For this, the Department of Economy has collaborated with the Professional Association of Hoteliers of the Region of Lorca (Hostelor) and the Regional Union of Merchants of Lorca (UCCL) in the production of two videos to disseminate the potential of the business, commercial and hotelier of Lorca and, above all, to reactivate it, inviting the locals to consume in the municipality."Both videos are starred by entrepreneurs and businessmen from the town where they convey to us a love and commitment that we can now return together by going back to their establishments, supporting them in these difficult times, after fully adapting their businesses and proving to be establishments and safe activities, "said Morales.The mayor recalled that "the current scenario is different from that of a few months ago.
We can go out on the street and live a life adapted to the conditions and respecting the necessary restrictions, but within those hours and capacities we can and must consume and enjoy in Lorca .
