| The action of urban regeneration will start in the coming weeks | The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructures begins tomorrow the preparatory work on signaling on the Mediterranean highway (A-7) on the occasion of the construction works of the interior passage of the San Antonio neighborhood of Lorca that will start in the coming weeks, and that will entail cuts traffic on the access branches of the highway. The general director of Territory and Architecture, Jaime Pérez Zulueta, pointed out that the area of ??action will focus on the surroundings of the access branch to the A-7 highway in the Lorca-Águilas direction, up to the intersection with the N-340 national highway.
As an alternative to this access, you will be able to use the previous and subsequent links. Pérez Zulueta recalled that for the signaling of the works and the action itself, the regional administration has had to wait for the State's report, in order to guarantee the safety of highway users in the execution of this work, which has a deadline of total execution of 11 months. The action in the Lorca neighborhood will have a regional investment of 3.6 million euros and will involve the construction of an underpass under the existing roundabout on the RM-11 road (Lorca-Águilas).
These works are complemented with urban renewal actions in the neighborhood and improvement of its pedestrian connection with other adjacent neighborhoods and the city center.
