PP: The problems with bottles are multiplied by the passivity of the current mayor, who continues to ignore the repeated calls and complaints from affected residents (02/11/2020)

| El Calvario, Puente de La Torta, La Quinta, La Verdad parks and University Campus , as well as the Rambla de Las Señoritas and the San Antonio Park, continue to be the most affected places | The councilors of Citizen Security and Culture in the Lorca town hall for the Popular Party, María Belén Pérez and Francisco Javier Martínez, have denounced this morning the neighborhood problems that the proliferation of "bottles" is causing in different areas of the urban area.

This is a situation that has been denounced by the affected residents for several months without solutions or dissuasive measures being implemented from the current local government. The city council can no longer stand idly by, because this problem has to be tackled effectively, both because of the coexistence problems that affected neighbors are reporting and because of the need to eliminate this type of incident to combat the spread of the coronavirus .

We propose that a special operation be set up to end these problems as soon as possible. This type of event is being recorded continuously in places such as Rambla de Tiata (under the La Torta bridge), La Quinta car park, in the San José neighborhood, La Verdad park, next to the facilities of our Campus Universitario, el Calvario, cataloged as a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC), a park in the San Antonio neighborhood, a dead-end road that gives access to the La Hípica and Rambla de Las Señoritas substations, among other places. From the Popular Party we share the indignation of these Lorca, since we are not talking about sporadic bottles in unknown places, but the Local Police and the current mayor know perfectly when and where they occur, and that they are being repeated every other day.

Also, for this reason, instead of putting containers to recycle glass bottles, we demand that a special Local Police operation be immediately activated in the indicated places.

For this, we Lorca have our police officers, both uniformed and plainclothes, a canine unit and even a drone that can verify if bottles are being made with total discretion.

We have the tools and the human endowment, and we demand that it be activated to end the problem. Despite the daily and insistent calls, Mr.

Mateos continues without even trying to remedy these situations, and instead of putting police officers in the places where they occur, he has put a container to recycle glass, with the logical anger of the affected people, who consider it a "ridiculous mockery". We must indicate that we have referred these facts to the current local government, without any action being taken, since the neighbors have repeatedly insisted on their complaints, showing their incomprehension due to the passivity and complete abandonment of responsibility by the mayor of the PSOE in this matter. Given the passivity of the current mayor, some residents have even chosen to go directly to these groups of unbelievers, who do not respect people's rest, or urban furniture, leaving behind a trail of garbage, broken glass, cans, etc.

food scraps ...

in addition to urinating on street furniture and breaking the seals established in the playgrounds of the parks. We also want to make a particular appeal from the PP to all the parents of young people from Lorca who suspect that their children may be participating in these bottles, to end this practice that, especially in the current situation, constitutes a very serious risk for the spread coronavirus, in addition to causing inconvenience to neighbors and being a terrible way for young people to enjoy their leisure and free time.

Parents and adults have to assume a special degree of responsibility with our children and relatives, because the situation caused by COVID-19 requires it.
