| To promote sports practice among primary and secondary school students in the municipality of Lorca | This project of "Active School Challenges" was born from the Department to fill the void in the sports practice of our children that leaves the non-celebration of the School-Age Sports program convened annually by the General Directorate of Sports of CARM. The Department of Sports of the City of Lorca has launched a new project for schoolchildren from Lorca.
REACES (Active School Challenges) was born as an alternative given the impossibility of carrying out the School-Age Sports program that is convened annually by the General Directorate of Sports of the CARM, and that this year, due to the pandemic caused by COVID 19, they have decided lay off. The Councilor for Sports, Irene Jódar explained that "the REACES program allows us to adapt to the conditions of sports practice that we currently face.
It is made up of a set of seven challenges, aimed at promoting the practice of physical activity in schoolchildren born in 2011-2012 (youngest category), 2009-2010 (juvenile category) and 2007-2008 (infant category).
Each of these challenges will last two weeks and will focus on the development of certain capacities and motor skills, such as such as: dribbling, balance, coordination, jumping, throwing / receiving, strength, endurance and handling of the implement.In each period, participants can practice each test as many times as they want, the attempts must be recorded and keep at leastthe video of the attempt in which they have achieved the best mark.
So they will be eligible for prizes.
