Diego José Mateos: "We have carried out a project of realistic Tax Ordinances, which allow us to help those who are suffering the most from the effects of Covid-19 and which will guarantee, also to our citizens, that the Lorca City Council can continue to provide all its services, as well as maintaining the usual municipal resources ". The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has requested the collaboration of the members of the Municipal Corporation to approve a Draft Tax Ordinance "especially sensitive to the health emergency situation." Mateos explained that "tomorrow, Thursday, November 5, the Municipal Plenary Session will take place with an Extraordinary character in which the approval of the Tax Ordinance Project for the year 2021 will be debated." The Mayor has highlighted that "it is a Project that the #Lorca City Council Government team has prepared keeping in mind and being especially sensitive to the health emergency situation caused by the global pandemic produced by Covid-19 and with a firm objective, to help alleviate the social and economic crisis that has derived from this health crisis ". Mateos Molina has shown that "since the beginning of this health crisis, from the Lorca City Council we have worked hard to help our neighbors, our merchants, hoteliers and small and medium-sized businessmen and our aim is to continue doing so.

We have carried out a project of realistic Tax Ordinances, which allow to help those who are suffering the most from the effects of Covid-19 and which will guarantee, also to our citizens, that the City of Lorca can continue to provide all its services with total normality, as well as maintaining the usual municipal resources ". The mayor of Lorca recalled that "these Tax Ordinances contemplate the 50 percent discount on Property and Real Estate Tax (IBI) to merchants and hoteliers; the freezing of taxes; the suspension of the rate for the provision of service in all the weekly markets, as well as the suspension of the rate of occupation of public roads of tables and chairs in hotels and kiosks. It also includes a bonus of 95 percent of the ICIO (Tax on Constructions, Installations and Works) in works related to the conditioning of premises and retail establishments to the security protocols to protect against coronavirus and the maintenance of also 95 percent of the bonus in the ICIO for works related to the damages produced by the earthquakes of 2011 ". Diego José Mateos has insisted that "for all this, we ask those who have in their hands to help Lorca and Lorca to exercise responsibility, dialogue and unity and allow the approval of some Ordinances for next year that will alleviate the tax burden to our neighbors, taking into account, in addition, the serious situation we are experiencing and that has triggered this health pandemic.
