The technical report prepared on this issue ratifies the viability of the plot, as the Popular Party has always defended, in the face of continuous tripping by the PSOE through the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS).The president of the Popular Party of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has reported that the Ministry of Health has already finalized and sent to the city council the technical report that authorizes the construction of the health center in the San Cristóbal neighborhood on the site of the Action Unit 23 (UA-23) that the PP unblocked for this purpose.

In this way, any controversy about the suitability of the chosen site is settled, which, in addition, has the full support of the residents of the neighborhood, who from the first moment supported that it was precisely this site that would house the construction of the health center.

We must remember that it was the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) the entity that objected to the chosen site, while from the PP we have always maintained that it is the right place.Fulgencio Gil has stated that this report constitutes a definitive turning point for the neighborhood to have its own health center, after breaking down the obstacles that the CHS had put in place.

This entity wielded that it is a lot in a flooded area, but obviated that in reality it has the same characteristics as half of the urban area, including shopping centers, homes, schools, institutes and even other health centers.

Faced with the claims of the CHS (a body dependent on the central government of the PSOE), from the Popular Party we revealed that it was simply necessary to apply corrective measures in the future building, as the report of the council has ratified today.The president of the Popular Party has anticipated that from now on we will continue to be especially vigilant so that the city council completes all the necessary procedures to make this site available to the council.

The necessary "paperwork" has to be done promptly to push for the construction of the health center.

We do not understand what has motivated the current mayor not to move anything in this regard over the last 16 months, a time that should have been used to clear the site and solve the relevant procedures.

In any case, we are facing very good news for the residents of San Cristóbal, with which we ratify that we comply with our commitments, despite the fact that, on occasions like this, we have been tripped whenever they have been able.The San Cristóbal health center will be located between San Fernando and Beato Pedro Soler streets.

It was Fulgencio Gil as mayor who made the decision to locate the San Cristóbal health center on San Fernando and Beato Fray Pedro Soler streets.

The search for suitable plots for the health center required a study of the San Cristóbal neighborhood inch by inch, making incessant walking tours of each street, analyzing any remote option that could be considered, until finding a viable solution.

It should be noted that up to 20 sites were analyzed, but none met the conditions.

Obtaining these lands was possible through the impulse given to Action Unit 23 (UA23), which allowed us to have a piece of equipment with dimensions of 1.000 m2 applying on this UA a system of public initiative.
