The month of October closed in Lorca with 242 fewer unemployed thanks to new hires in the service sector and in agriculture (05/11/2020)

The mayor of Employment and Local Development, Isabel Casalduero, has highlighted that "for the third consecutive month the unemployment data leave us an improvement in the labor market in our municipality, after difficult months due to Covid-19". The Councilor for Employment and Local Development of the City Council of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has taken stock this morning of the unemployment data in the municipality of Lorca for the month of October that have been published by the Regional Employment and Training Service ( SEF). The Councilor for Employment and Local Development has pointed out that "last October she said goodbye in our municipality with a total of 5,559 unemployed, 242 workers less than the previous month, registered in the office of the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) in Lorca ". Isabel Casalduero explained that "for the third consecutive month, unemployment data show an improvement in the labor market in our municipality, after difficult months due to the economic consequences caused by this health crisis, and October leaves us a decrease in the number of unemployed" . Casalduero Jódar has detailed that "the decrease in unemployment has been noted, especially in the service sector where 147 people found work in October, placing the total number of unemployed at 3,562; there has also been a drop in agriculture, with 87 fewer unemployed in October, down to 806, and other reductions in construction and Industry of six and five people, respectively.

" The mayor of Local Development and spokesman for the Government team added that "we hope that the health situation allows this positive trend in terms of the unemployment situation between Lorca and Lorca can be maintained over the next few months." And finally, he insisted that "from the City Council we will tirelessly continue adopting measures that allow entrepreneurs and freelancers affected by this pandemic to recover their work activity as soon as possible, and we are doing it, for example, with subsidies for merchants, self-employed and SMEs affected, and we will do so with new lines of aid, which we hope will be supported by other regional and national lines.
