The mayor of Pedanías and Local Development, Antonio Navarro, has detailed that "these works will have an execution period of three months and have a subsidy of 57,048.66 euros from Leader funds". The councilor for Pedanías and Rural Development of the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro, has reported the award of the improvement works in the squares and parks of Los Jopos, in the Lorca deputation of La Hearing. The mayor of Rural Development explained that "the base budget for the tender, which is by means of an abbreviated simplified open procedure, is 59,014.76 euros, of which 32,463.51 euros will go to Los Jopos Park, and the 26,551.25 remaining euros to the Plaza Antonio Pérez Valverde ". Antonio Navarro has pointed out that "the works have been finally awarded for 48,097.03 euros and will have an execution period of three months.

The aim is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area, increasing their access to places of leisure and rest and, at the same time, increase the possibilities of tourism development through environmentally sustainable initiatives ". Navarro Pérez has detailed that "these actions are financed through the European Rural Development Program, Leader of the Rural Development Program of the Region of Murcia, General Secretariat, through the Participatory Local Development Strategy of Campoder, Local Action Group Association for development 2014-2020, with a grant of 57,048.66 euros of the 59,014.76 euros that had been requested, given that the report drawn up includes some necessary actions, which exceed the entire percentage subject to subsidy in the case of certain items ". Finally, the mayor of Pedanías and Rural Development has insisted that we will continue to meet the needs of our neighbors, those of the neighborhoods and districts, to improve their quality of life and that they can have the best services and recreational areas and recreation, making their districts increasingly attractive areas both for them who live there and for the people of Lorca who could move their habitual residence there. The Leader Program is an initiative that is managed through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and that aims to improve conditions in rural areas.

The Lorca City Council is part of the Campoder Association Local Action Group, through which access to these European funds is managed.
