" "In fact, although the situation continues to be worrying, it is evident that the collective effort made has allowed the municipality of Lorca to be, at this time, among the five municipalities with the lowest incidence in the entire Region, going from having a accumulated incidence close to 1,200 cases during the last 14 days, in the month of September, to the current 455.5, being 251 during the last 15 days ". The Mayor has stated that "we have also been able to analyze the data by centers and basic health areas, and learn the point of view of health workers on the epidemiological situation and the activity they are developing, in addition to the pressure that health institutions are supporting such as the Rafael Méndez hospital, health centers and clinics, emergency services and primary care ". The mayor recalled "some actions undertaken so far by the Lorca City Council and that they are giving such good results, such as the centralization of Punto Covid in the Ifelor fairgrounds, an initiative assumed by the Consistory, organized in coordination with the health area III, which has made it possible to speed up the early detection of the virus, and free the San Diego health center and the Campillo office from this task.

The pioneering implementation of the CECOVID with 30 volunteers who carry out screening tasks in coordination with Public Health and the Murcian Health Service, and which has meant a before and after when it comes to intensifying the tracking work, case by case, of all the positives in the municipality, essential to tackle the incidence of daily cases " . Mateos Molina has also referred to "the information work that we have been carrying out at all levels and in four languages, to make the population aware of health standards, highlighting the success of the 'Lorca takes care of you' action.

and the monitoring of health standards and measures, and compliance with quarantines through the Local Police, as well as social care for people at risk of social exclusion in everything necessary so that they could keep home isolation (food expenses, maintenance , medicines or essential items) through Social Services ". He has also put on the table other issues such as the use of antigen tests in health centers and has once again reiterated the offer by the City Council of municipal facilities for the contingency plans of the Murcian Health Service, offered since last month of March. The mayor highlighted "the good coordination that we are having from the City Council with the health officials in order to improve the epidemiological situation of our municipality, something that we are achieving, with the efforts of all, but that we must continue to do". Finally, Mateos has again appealed "to the individual responsibility of Lorca and Lorca to continue fighting, among all, against this health situation, and for this we must continue to comply with health measures such as the mandatory use of masks, extreme hand hygiene, social distancing as well as avoiding crowds ".
