Martín explained that when reviewing the list of expenses approved by the Local Government Board, corresponding to the last two months, he has detected invoices amounting to 47,901.59 euros for these concepts.

If it continues at this rate, the spending on "self-promotion" of the socioliberal government of PSOE and C's could reach 300,000 euros per year, that is, 50 million of the old pesetas.Martín explained that only in the 'Lorca Te Cuida' campaign, PSOE and C's have spent up to now 19,922.65, broken down into the following concepts: two cars with mobile public address (€ 7,153.52), the assembly of a tent and the hiring of a hostess for the weekly market during the month of August (€ 1,113.20), advertising and propaganda (€ 2,480.50), printing of posters and brochures (€ 5,303.43), and vinyl and pens (3,690 , € 50), or online promotion (€ 181.50).The IU councilor has opined that the expenditure of almost 20,000 euros (provisional data) in this campaign has served the objective of "selling image and throwing flowers" much more than in stopping the contagion of COVID-19.

"It is unfortunate that the pandemic is the permanent excuse of Diego José Mateos and his councilors in the face of the paralysis suffered by the municipality, but they do not mind using it as an alibi for their personal projection," he said.
