Considering what has been seen and for what they have said, it was not necessary to even call the meeting "| The Popular Party spokesman in the Lorca town hall, Fulgencio Gil, has described the meeting of the Burial Table held this morning as "grotesque", and that it has only served to make the current mayor recognize that there is no forecast , not even approximate, of when the AVE is going to arrive in Lorca, they still do not know how it will get there, nor what the hypothetical burial would be like, nor what happens with the informative study for the burial project, which was tendered almost two years ago and remains paralyzed. Fulgencio Gil has stated that the conclusion is absolutely devastating, because, in short and thanks to the Sánchez & Mateos tandem, the AVE for Lorca is neither there nor is it expected.
We now understand why Mr Mateos had hidden this meeting from the media, something that had never happened before.
Where is the political transparency that citizens deserve? The meeting of the Burial Table has only served for the current mayor to stage a generalized recognition of frustration and resignation, while the punishment to which the Pedro Sánchez government submits to the Lorca in railway matters grows. There is no forecast for the start of works on the Totana-Lorca section, nor for the alleged Totana-Totana bypass, nor for the works on the Lorca-Pulpí section, which now, as we have learned, is going to be delayed due to the modification of Ministry plans.
Given what was seen and what they have said, it was not even necessary to call the meeting. With the arrival of the socialist tandem Sánchez & Mateos, Lorca loses.
We have gone from having a Minister of Development presenting the project, the layout, the burial and the money reserved in the budgets, to calling "cover" meetings, like the one this morning, in which there is no information Absolutely nothing new, and, above all, no technical or political representative from the Ministry of Development, or from Adif, is attending. We are obliged to affirm that, after almost three years without meeting this Table, everything has stopped since the Sánchez & Mateos tandem took over the armchair in Madrid and Murcia.
There is nothing, it is that simple and hard.
The arrival of the AVE to Lorca and the burial are totally blocked projects and their investment has been erased and diverted to satisfy the commitments of the PSOE with its government partners in other regions. We have to remember that two years ago the government of Pedro Sánchez was informed, through the presentation of a series of allegations from the city council, that the distance from the underground had to be extended to technically save the bed of the Guadalentín river and the Rambla de Las Señoritas, and today we found out they have not yet been reviewed.
Two years is more than enough time to read a few pages, what less than that.
All are excuses to waste time. The reality is that, as things are, Lorca will continue without high speed at least until 2026, and that is nonsense.
From the Popular Party, given the abandonment of Pedro Sánchez and the resignation of Mr.
Mateos, we have demanded that the Ministry of Development be called upon to comply with the plans for the improvement of commuter trains, as well as the immediate recovery and commitment of the planned plans and the inclusion in the general budgets of the State of the investment that was also planned to recover the railway connection between Lorca and Granada, which has been abolished by the PSOE.
