It is a joint work launched by the councils of districts, parks and gardens, sports and equality to comply with a historical demand made by the neighborhood groups of the district. The councilors of Pedanías and Parks and Gardens, Sports and Equality, Antonio Navarro, Irene Jódar and Antonia Pérez, respectively, have reported the creation of a neighborhood leisure area in El Campillo. Antonio Navarro explained that "as a first step, we have already begun with the work of clearing and conditioning the land and, also, we have prepared several ditches to place the drip irrigation system since dozens of trees will be planted in this space ". The mayor has detailed that "the parcel, municipal property, has dimensions of 9,408 square meters and is located at the back of the Parque Almenara Shopping Center." For her part, the Councilor for Sports, Irene Jódar, has announced that "the work will be carried out to install a perimeter fence of the sports area where the bike trial circuit is located and, in addition, they will to place a total of 2 basketball baskets and 2 8 "soccer goals. Jódar has shown that "from this Government team we are working on the creation of a safe space for the residents of the district of El Campillo and, especially, the youngest so that they have a nearby place to have fun while playing sports.

" The mayor of Equality, Antonia Pérez has indicated that "the placement of the vegetation will be carried out on December 2 through a joint initiative between the Department of Equality and the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca to pay tribute to the murdered women , victims of gender violence, so far this year ". Thus, the Lorca City Council Government team returns to comply with a historical demand of the residents of El Campillo who, within a participatory process, are also collaborating in this project.

An initiative in which we are going to work and improve, a project that will grow little by little, as these works are a first step for the revitalization of the area and the enjoyment of the citizens of the district.
