We are all aware of the reality suffered by this group of people and their problems to move from one place to another to carry out activities or procedures that for the rest of the citizens do not pose a major inconvenience.

To these usual difficulties, we now add the problem of the socioeconomic crisis derived from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are talking, in most cases, of people with low incomes, with little economic power, and who, especially when they reach an age,they find the material impossibility of adapting their vehicles or acquiring adapted models to carry out these trips.

It is to this situation that we propose that special attention be paid by the city council.The popular councilor has requested that the city council of Lorca put into practice the "TAXI BONUS", which would contemplate the opening of a line of aid of up to 500 euros per year destined to make possible the habitual and obligatory trips of those citizens with reduced mobility who present a personal or family profile that requires it, this being the case of people with low income levels or at risk of social exclusion, among others.

To access this "Taxi Voucher", the beneficiaries should meet a series of requirements, which, in any case, should not become a definitive obstacle to obtaining it.Antonio David Sánchez explained that this new proposal that is put on the table by the Popular Party contemplates that these grants may be requested to meet, mainly, the following mobility needs:To academic or professional training centers.To the ordinary work center.To rehabilitation and / or medical check-ups.Completion of administrative procedures that require physical presence of the subject.Other mobility needs in specific situations.From the popular group we ask that the city council show the sensitivity that it must and offer its consideration with the needs of this group of people, carrying out the necessary steps with the relevant groups for the formalization, adaptation and adaptation of this help, and that it is appropriate, in addition, to promote the adaptation to people with reduced mobility of the existing licensed taxis in our municipality, collaborating financially with professionals in the sector, given that currently there is only one vehicle adapted to in our municipality.It is clear that if the current mayor considers it appropriate and wise to spend 800,000 euros of taxes from all Lorca to buy cars, or 400,000 on cameras for the water network, there must also be economic availability for the issues that people need, and This mobility should be a priority action, because before cars, there should be citizens with problems.
