It is a card that, under the name "This year the best gift is to save the hospitality industry", is intended to be the vehicle for holding Christmas lunches and dinners in December and January in the 60 establishments that have already been adhered to this campaign The Deputy Mayor of Lorca and Councilor for the Economy, Francisco Morales, and the President of the Association of Hoteliers of Lorca, Jesús Abellaneda, presented this morning a campaign related to lunches and dinners in December and January with which it will be broadcast a card worth € 30 to consume in restaurants, bars and cafes associated with Hostelor and that show interest in joining this activity. This card will be directed mainly to companies, institutions, associations, cultural, sports, services, health groups, among others, of the municipality of Lorca, with the aim that they give them to their employees, associates, affiliates or clients so that They can enjoy a lunch, dinner or drinks in the establishments subject to this initiative. Francisco Morales has affirmed that "with the commitment to this campaign, we reaffirm ourselves in wanting to maintain those good customs that benefit the hospitality sector so much and will help us not to lose the usual company lunches and dinners and friends at this very important time, always taking into account the restrictions and hygienic-sanitary measures ". Morales stressed the need to respect these measures "despite the impulses for fun and the desire to celebrate the holidays as we have always done, because we must act with head and adjust to the sanitary conditions of this atypical year.
It is the best way to guarantee that the next one we can celebrate these holidays normally, with prevention and responsibility ". The president of Hostelor has indicated that "the entrepreneur will be able to acquire the cards through Hostelor for a price of € 20 and a value of € 30 per unit.
The first batch of cards will carry a higher discount than the following ones, which will be assumed thanks to the collaboration of City Hall and the hotelier himself.
In the following card remittances, the discount will be lower, so we encourage those interested to get theirs as soon as possible ". Abellaneda recalled that "participating in this activity entails a contribution of social responsibility on the part of the companies towards the hoteliers and the situation they go through, as well as other types of establishments such as clothing stores, dry cleaners, shoe stores, hairdressers, salons beauty, etc.
All this taking into account that when we go out with co-workers and friends, we try to fix ourselves, which entails, for example, going to the hairdresser, buying a new dress or pants, some shoes, using the dry cleaning service in the case of ending up with our stained clothes, etc.
". In this sense, the Councilor for the Economy has stated that "the use of this card and its dissemination by the different Lorca companies to their employees will result in a social movement that will be beneficial for the hotel and trade sector and, above all, for the maintenance of trust, as well as the search for normalization.
That is why we are committed to this campaign that would greatly benefit the local economy and that will entail not losing the usual company lunches and dinners and friends at this very important time , always adapted to current circumstances ". To conclude, Morales wanted to express "gratitude to the solidarity of all the companies that are supporting the hospitality industry in these difficult moments for the sector, which yesterday reopened its terraces, and what they contribute, with the acquisition of these cards, an advance in his recovery ".
