The Lorca City Council activates the Preemergence phase of the INUNLOR Plan before the yellow alert due to the risk of storms (26/11/2020)

The Councilor for Emergencies of the Lorca City Council, Isabel Casalduero, has reported the yellow alert for the risk of storms communicated by AEMET. Casalduero has announced that "due to the meteorological forecasts made by the State Meteorological Agency and which communicate the alert in yellow level due to rains and storms in the geographical area of ??the Guadalentín Valley, Lorca and Águilas for tomorrow, Friday, November 27, has activated the PRE-EMERGENCY phase of the Municipal Emergency Plan against Flood Risk of Lorca (INUNLOR) ". The mayor has indicated that "it is a measure taken before the possibility that from 00:00 hours and until 18:00 hours could be registered in our municipality rainfall in which up to 25 liters per square meter are accumulated, with a probability of occurrence of between 40 and 70 percent.

" Casalduero Jódar has insisted that "citizens should exercise extreme caution and stay informed of the most up-to-date weather forecast since normal activities may be altered and those carried out outdoors interrupted". "And, abroad, do not park or circulate with vehicles on boulevards to avoid problems with possible floods or floods; stay away from rivers, streams or low areas of slopes and hills and circulate, preferably, on main roads and highways.
