The young poet from Lorca Juan Antonio Fernández Pérez (Juan de Beatriz), 26, has won the prestigious Emilio Prados International Poetry Prize, the great reference point for young poetry in the Spanish language, organized annually by the Center for the Generation of 27 in the city of Málaga, Spain.Juan de Beatriz (Lorca, Murcia, 1994) has a degree in Hispanic Philology (UMU) with a Master's Degree in Literary and Theatrical Studies (UGR).
He was also First Prize in the «XLIV María Agustina Literary Contest» (2018) and "I International Prize for Literary Research" (2019).
In the academic field, he has participated in conferences on literature and philosophy such as the LV Congress of Young Philosophers (2018) and the II Encounter of Language: city of words (2019), and has published various scientific articles in the literary magazine Ocultalit, the magazine of criticism and contemporary poetry Crátera, the literary publication El colloquio de los perros, and the cultural magazine Drugstore.This year, de Beatriz enjoys an artistic scholarship at the Antonio Gala Foundation for young creators (only ten are awarded), in Córdoba, where she develops a technopoetry project.
