José Luis Ruiz: "the construction of this hotel in the heart of Lorca will contribute to the revitalization of the historic site, which is one of the priority objectives of this Government team, as it will become one more element in the search for reactivation and economic revitalization of our old town ". The Councilor for Urban Planning of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported on the presentation, in the Ordinary Plenary of November, of the definitive approval of the Special Urban Reorganization Plan that will allow the construction of the hotel 'Casa del León' . Ruiz explained that "tomorrow we will present, in the Municipal Ordinary Plenary for the month of November, the motion for the definitive approval of the Special Urban Reorganization Plan for the implementation of the hotel complex 'Casa del León', on Alfonso X street, in the historic center of the city ". The mayor has detailed that "this Special Plan aims to qualify farms 1, 2 and 12 of block 65 of PEPRI as tertiary-hotel use and establish the building conditions to make the hotel construction project viable with the aim of allowing the implantation of this in the historical precinct of the city of Lorca and the increase of the maximum buildable height destined to house a hotel with 36 double rooms and with a 3-star rating ". Ruiz Guillén has indicated that "the building project has an estimated budget of 1,100,000 euros and includes the integration of existing and protected facades, following the intervention criteria in cataloged elements included in the Heritage Law and in the PEPRI, the Special Plan for Municipal Rehabilitation and Integration ". The Councilor for Urban Planning has shown that "the creation of this hotel complex has the approval of the Strategic Environmental Report of the Special Urban Reorganization Plan and determination of the absence of significant effects on the Environment and, also, reports have been received favorable from the General Directorate of Urbanism and the General Directorate of Cultural Assets of the Autonomous Community ". José Luis Ruiz Guillén recalled that "the construction of this hotel in the heart of Lorca will contribute to the revitalization of the historic site, which is one of the priority objectives of this Government team, as it will become one more element in the search for the reactivation and economic revitalization of our historic center as it will allow to expand the capacity of accommodation in Lorca and be its guests next to the most representative buildings of the city and just 500 meters from a parking lot ".
