The Councilor for Parks and Gardens of the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro, has reported that "from this management area they have already begun to sow the poinsettias that will adorn the different squares and parks of our municipality during this Christmas period". The mayor of Parks and Gardens explained that "this year, as in the campaign last year, 5,000 specimens of poinsettias will be planted, which have been cultivated in recent months by the staff of the municipal nursery, with their own means of the City Council, in terms of facilities, material and personnel, which represents an important saving on the market value for the City Council ". Antonio Navarro has pointed out that "in the last few days this Department has proceeded to remove all the old plants to make way for the showiness of the poinsettias, of different varieties and colors, which all Lorca can enjoy and Lorca, and also visitors, when sanitary conditions allow it.
" Navarro has specified that "these flowers will adorn, among others, such emblematic places as the squares of Colón, Doña Concha Sandoval and Óvalo, the gardens of the Huerto Ruano, as well as the neighborhoods and districts of the city." Finally, the mayor has stressed that "the municipal incubator of the City of Lorca is the one with the highest own production capacity in the entire Region of Murcia".
