Gloria Martín demanded that the Councilor for Finance present a draft of the bases of the call to municipal groups and representative associations of the sector so that they have the participation of those affected and that errors in the aid to self-employed workers and micro-enterprises that have also been launched this year at the initiative of IU The councilor for Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Gloria Martín, has shown her satisfaction with the approval in the last plenary session of the motion by which her political formation required the municipal government team of PSOE and C's to launch a call for aid direct directed to the hospitality sector in Lorca affected by the limitations to its activity imposed by state and regional regulations as a result of the COVID19 pandemic. Martín explained that, for the sake of consensus, "we have been flexible regarding the deadline available to the Government team to implement these aid", which is now three months compared to the month that IU requested.

For this reason, Martín demanded that before the end of the year, the Councilor for the Treasury, Isidro Abellán, present a draft of the bases of the call to the municipal groups and representative associations of the sector.

"We demand that these bases have the participation of those affected and that the errors in the aid to self-employed workers and micro-businesses that have also been launched this year at the initiative of IU be corrected"Martin said. In that sense, the mayor of IU-Verdes asked that the aid be granted taking into account the business address and not the company's business name, so that they benefit those who carry out their activity in the municipality.

To speed up the payment of the aid, Martín also requested that the documentary justification of the subsidy be made "a posteriori", and that the purpose of the subsidies is not only to contribute to the financing of investments that are carried out to face the pandemic, but also ordinary expenses such as the cost of renting the premises, the installments of bank loans or the supplies of electricity, water and gas. Martín also asked that the subsidies are not subject to competitive competition, but rather be considered "direct aid." The councilor of IU-Greens assured that her political training will be "very pending" of the development of this call so that the aid reaches its recipients as soon as possible and that it will require "a high degree of participation" in its design.

"We have expressed our willingness to reach agreements for the benefit of those affected and the PSOE and C's government team must demonstrate the same capacity for dialogue with the rest of the municipal groups and the groups involved," he concluded.
