Matías Giner Reverte and Juan Clemente Ruiz, winners of the Photographic Marathon 'Lorca: Las miradas de las Tres Culturas' (04/12/2020)

In this initiative organized by the Department of Culture, through the Popular University, and of Tourism, 14 people participated who presented a total of 136 photos, obtained in the three routes into which it was divided: the Jewish, the Christian and the Muslim, directed by official guides of Tourism of Lorca. The vice mayor and the councilor for Tourism, Francisco Morales and the councilor for Culture, María Ángeles Mazuecos, have announced the decision of the jury of the Photographic Marathon 'Lorca: Las miradas de las Tres Culturas', organized together with the San Clemente Federation and which took place on November 21. The Councilor for Culture has detailed that the first prize, endowed with 400 euros, has gone to Matías Giner Reverte, while the second prize, with an amount of 150 euros, has been for Juan Clemente Ruiz. María Ángeles Mazuecos explained that "14 people have participated who have presented a total of 136 photos, obtained in the three routes in which this photographic marathon was divided: the Jewish, the Christian and the Muslim, which were directed by official guides of Tourism of Lorca ". For his part, the vice mayor and councilor for Tourism thanked everyone for their participation in this event with which from the Lorca City Council, and through the Department of Culture and Tourism, we have wanted to boost the offer in our municipality, coinciding with the commemorative acts of the Festivities in honor of our Patron, San Clemente, which this year have not been carried out in the traditional way due to the current health crisis and have been modified to adapt to this situation and offer the greatest guarantee and safety to the Lorca ". Francisco Morales recalled that "the objective of both this City Council is to promote and disseminate the history, culture and artistic manifestations related to the medieval period of Lorca". It should be remembered that the jury has been composed of the mayor of Cultural of the Lorca City Council, María Ángeles Mazuecos, the mayor of Tourism, Francisco Morales, the president of the San Clemente Federation, Luis Torres del Alcázar, the professional photographers Isabel Moreno and Pedro Alcaraz, who is also a photography monitor at the Popular University of Lorca, as well as the president of the Murcia Photographic Association 'Two with eight', José Luis Carrillo, and as secretary of the jury the director of the Popular University, Miguel Pérez Cortijos .
