We do not agree with the unilateral decision of the mayor of the Socialists to prevent the performance of the traditional Lorca gangs in our municipal district.
We consider that it is an erroneous, unnecessary and particularly unfortunate imposition, which has been made due to a lack of desire to manage and offer an alternative to the crews, as is being done in many other Spanish municipalities, that they have established schedules adapted to the circumstances and respecting all the necessary measures. The crews could act, with the necessary separation, in places such as Plaza de España, Plaza de Col n, Alameda de la Constituci n, Plaza de Curtidores, Plaza Real, Plaza de San José, as well as in the usual enclaves of districts.
We are talking about creating a viable and safe alternative, appropriate to the current context, and with a different profile from the meetings of gangs of other years to avoid crowds. The programming of Christmas events this year in Lorca is an absolute nonsense, there is no where to catch it.
It is evident that until the Popular Party did not propose the celebration of events during these days, the mayor of the PSOE had not done anything, and they have had to improvise acts that do not even communicate to the people.
That is not how things are done. There is an intermediate point between the decision of Mr.
Mateos to suppress the actions of the crews, and the format of meetings of previous years, which passes to adapt to the situation.
