The novelty this year is the expansion in local awards | The mayor of Lorca, Diego Jos Mateos, presented this morning, together with the Councilor for Sports, Irene J dar, the president of the Lorca Physical Education and Sports Forum, Juan Ortuño, and the organizer of the Creative Arts, Physical Activity and Sports Contest, Felio Ruiz, the IV edition of the creative event "CREASPORT".
The mayor of Lorca recalled that "four years ago the idea of ??launching this contest arose and each edition has gone further, consolidating internationally.
From the beginning it was very well received both nationally and internationally , and already last year 429 works were received from 19 countries in the world, achieving a record of participation.That is why our intention is to continue growing and supporting this contest that is already a cultural reference, that crosses borders and invites creation, and elevates Lorca to a prestigious cultural position on an international scale ".
Diego Jos Mateos explained that "the objective of this contest, convened by the FORUM of Physical Education and Sports of Lorca in collaboration with the Department of Sports of the City of Lorca is to offer a communication channel Between the worlds of art and physical activity, so close due to its plastic and expressive character.
Physical activity has always been a source of inspiration for cinema, literature and photography.

The contest is convened in the categories of short film, short story and digital photography.
The works may be presented from January 1 to May 31.
The contest rules are already hosted in Deportes.lorca.es, where everything is more detailed, for those who dare to participate, although we can say that this year there are more prizes ".
For his part, Felio Ruiz, organizer of CREASPORT has highlighted that this contest will, for the fourth consecutive year, "open a window to artistic expression by collecting the beauty of sports activities, their stories, their moments of glory or failure, its educational wealth.
The works participating in the contest should orient their focus towards these values, highlighting the penetration capacity of physical activity in society.
" Anyone who so wishes, of any nationality or residence, may participate.
The stories will be written in prose and in the Spanish language, be original and unpublished and have not previously been awarded in any other contest.
The works must be presented exclusively by email at the address creasportrelato@gmail.com.
The prize will consist of 1,000 euros and the CreaSport award.
As a novelty, this edition also includes a new award for the best local story, which will be awarded 250 euros and a CreaSport diploma.
The president of the Lorca Physical Education and Sports Forum, Juan Ortuño, explained that "the jury will be made up of professionals from the world of literature and physical-sports activity, who may declare void the award if it considers that the works presented do not have the necessary quality, which will mainly value creativity, originality, literary quality and the content of the story adjusted to the purpose of this call.
The jury's decision will be announced on 16 September 2021 at the awards ceremony and work viewing ".
In the digital photography modality, this year the best photographic collection will be awarded, which should have been presented through the email creasportfoto@gmail.com, with the prize of 1,000 euros , and CreaSport award.
As a novelty, this edition also includes a new award for the best local photography collection, which will be awarded 250 euros and a CreaSport diploma.
And in the short film category there will be a prize for the best short film of 1,500 euros and a prize for the contest; a prize for the second best short film worth 700 euros and a diploma, and also a prize for the best local short film endowed with 250 euros and a CreaSport diploma.
There will also be a 'Special Audience Award for the best Short Film', valued at 250 euros, in which those attending the screenings will choose this award among all the selected works.
