[Fulgencio Gil announces the delivery of 1,275,000 euros in direct financial aid to 320 hoteliers from Lorca (22/12/2020)

| Thanks to the PP regional government plan | Meanwhile, Diego Jos Mateos prefers to spend 800,000 euros on cars, 400,000 on cameras and 500,000 on rescuing Limusa because he has ruined it in less than a year, but he still does not offer the aid that the city council approved at the initiative of Fulgencio Gil .

The regional government of the Popular Party has already approved a battery of subsidies aimed at helping the hospitality sector to face the economic losses derived from the crisis they are suffering, caused by Covid-19 and its restrictions, which represent a global economic amount of 1,275,000 euros.

We are talking about an injection of money that goes directly to the pockets of those affected, and that benefits a total of 320 companies and autonomous Lorca.

Fulgencio Gil stressed that while others stood idly by and did nothing to help the hoteliers, from the Popular Party we began to work on direct and rapid lines of economic support that would allow the hoteliers to cushion the effects of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.

The management work has been efficient and agile, in such a way that in a few weeks the hoteliers of Lorca are already receiving their aid.

In fact, according to our information in this regard, half of the total has already been paid, and the next day 28 the rest will be delivered.

Thanks to this line of aid promoted by the regional government of the Popular Party, each hotelier in our municipality receives before the end of this year a direct and non-refundable subsidy that ranges between 4,000 and 14,000 euros, depending on the number of workers in each establishment.

Faced with the commitment and diligence with which these aids have been managed, the support of the mayor of the PSOE for the hospitality sector is neither there nor expected.

Any kind of fix or help has been removed.

In September, we received the support of all the political groups with representation in the City Council to approve a Municipal Plan that contemplated the delivery of 2,000 euros to each of the self-employed, hoteliers and merchants who were going through the worst.

blame for this pandemic.

It was an initiative that specifically stated that these municipal aid had to be in the pockets of those affected quickly and directly.

However, the months have passed and the only response of Mr.

Mateos has been to let time waste, accentuate the uncertainty of the victims and ignore everything.

It has been an exercise in irresponsibility that no one understands, and probably the worst of his failures.

Mr.

Mateos had more than sufficient financial resources in the municipal coffers because he received a city council with more money than ever thanks to the management developed by the Popular Party, which managed to lower the debt of 105.4 million that the PSOE had caused to reduce it to 30.

It had 6.5 million euros in savings, 12 in the City Council Treasury, and a positive cash settlement in more than 14 million euros.

While the mayor of the Socialists denies a single penny of aid to those who need it most, he has had no qualms about spending 800,000 euros on buying cars and 500,000 on rescuing Limusa because he has ruined it in less than a year.

The citizens of Lorca do not deserve such an operation, the sooner this parenthesis is closed in the city council, the better, because the list of economic losses is skyrocketing, reaching an exorbitant expense that exceeds the 5 million euros, almost all the municipal savings that we leave in the accounts of the city council.

The worst thing is that in 2021 we Lorca will have to pay almost 8 million euros more in taxes because Mr.

Mateos' party has stolen 50% of the IBI bonus, and the three million that the PP left Reserved for investments in districts.

Fulgencio Gil has also described as "unpresentable" the announcement launched by the central government of the PSOE, which has already warned that it is not going to activate any type of aid for the hospitality sector.

In other words, while Diego Jos Mateos and Pedro S nchez "pass" the suffering of the hoteliers, the Popular Party understands and supports their requests and translates them into the direct, fast and efficient delivery of more than 1, 2 million euros to the hoteliers of Lorca.
