| The ¡Alimenta! From the Fundaci n Iniciativas el Gigante will continue to be open for a few more days at the request of Lorca | The Kilicala Food Bank of C ritas Interparroquial de La Viña has received the almost four tons of food that have been collected in recent weeks within the ¡Alimenta! the Fundaci n Iniciativas el Gigante in collaboration with Martínez Cardona, Abogados-Asesores; and the Virgen del Alc zar Hospital.
The reception of the products was made by the president of C ritas Interparroquial, L zaro Caballero, who was very grateful for the campaign.
"It is a very important help, because although we have the base of the State Guarantee Fund, these foods are exhausted very soon.
In addition, the wealth of products that this campaign provides us allows us to offer families a greater variety than This Christmas day is very much appreciated, "he said.
The person in charge of Communication and Social Responsibility of the Virgen del Alc zar Hospital, Mar Mateos, also participated in the delivery tasks, who recalled that already last year the Virgen del Alc zar Hospital collaborated with the Foundation n Initiatives el Gigante in the campaign to collect clothing for underprivileged families in C ritas.
"We believe that these are dates to be in solidarity and much more this year with the complicated situation in which many families find themselves.
They are having a hard time and, therefore, campaigns like this allow them to have something in their table at Christmas ".
The president of the Iniciativas el Gigante Foundation, Francisco Per n Albarrac n, announced that the campaign will remain open for a few more days.
"Food continues to arrive, so we are going to expand the campaign.
We want to give everyone who wants to participate the opportunity to do so." And appreciated the contribution of Lorca.
"Since the ¡Alimenta! Program was launched, it has been a coming and going of Lorca in the different reception places.
We want to thank all of them and remind them that next year we hope to have them again ".
The Pasico-Campillo, San Fernando, P rez de Hita, Juan Navarro de La Hoya schools and the San Juan Bosco secondary education institute, among others, have joined the initiative with collection at their centers, in addition of the College of Attorneys and Orbitalia.
"We must highlight the contribution of the delights of the Plaza de Abastos who set up a stand to enable food donations from their customers," concluded the president of the Iniciativas el Gigante Foundation.
