The mayor of Universities, Mar a ngeles Mazuecos, explained that "the Governing Council of the University of Murcia has given the green light to these studies, which will now be sent to the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) for final verification ".
The councilor of the University of the City of Lorca, Mar a ngeles Mazuecos, has celebrated the approval, unanimously, by the Governing Council of the University of Murcia of the Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University Campus of Lorca.
The University councilor has detailed that "it is the penultimate step for the final approval of these studies, which will now be sent to the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) for its verification, along with the rest of the memories of the new degrees, among which is Occupational Therapy, to be taught in Lorca ".
Mar a ngeles Mazuecos has highlighted that "this new title, which is an example of collaboration between the two public universities of the Region, will be developed within one of the most demanded sectors by society, whose objective will be to train future professionals in this area ".
Mazuecos Moreno has thanked "the work developed by the teaching and research team of the professionals of the University Campus of Lorca.
Something that we have always tirelessly demanded, before from our municipal group and now from the Government Team".
The mayor of the University has added that "with this new degree, the University of Murcia will train professionals with sufficient training to describe, identify, prevent, treat and compare health problems that can be answered from Occupational Therapy, comprehensively addressing the care of people who suffer from occupational dysfunctions or are at risk of suffering from them ".
In addition, he recalled the different actions that are being carried out thanks to the invaluable collaboration maintained between the City Council of Lorca and the University Campus of the city, in terms of the organization of workshops and conferences different themes, and also solidarity campaigns for the collection of medical supplies due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On the other hand, Mar a ngeles Mazuecos congratulated the Poncemar Foundation for the Medal of Honor awarded to her by the Cloister of the University of Murcia in accordance with her commitment and collaboration with this entity in general with the Lorca society, as well as for the values ??that this foundation represents and its determined commitment to collaboration for the development of the Campus of Social Health Sciences of Lorca, whose faculty has been the promoter of the proposal.
