| Artepal and Estudio Fotogr fico Moman, winners of the first prize of the 2020 Christmas Window Contest organized by the Chamber of Commerce | As is traditional at this time, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca makes public the winners of the Christmas window competitions that it organizes both in Lorca, in collaboration with the City Council, Hostelor and the Uni n of Merchants of Lorca; as in Puerto Lumbreras, where the Lumbreras city council and ASEPLU Puerto Lumbreras Businessmen Association contribute to the organization.
The activity is subsidized by the General Directorate of Commerce and Business Innovation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
With the participation of nearly 100 businesses from Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, in the city of Lorca the first prize went to "Artepal", which will receive € 400 and a commemorative plaque.
The jury has highlighted in this showcase that it is unique to argue Christmas, returning to the decorative tradition and introduction of the central motif and maximizing the scale of the manger as the main scene, giving a sustainable background to the pieces that are sold.
The spatial composition has been considered to be correct, as well as excellent coloring and lighting! Likewise, the shops "Carnicer a Jose" and "Mar de Lis Novias" have been awarded the second and third prizes of € 300 and € 150 respectively.
The jury has highlighted in these windows the integration of the product they sell coexisting with the Christmas scene, the color, the visual cleanliness and the lighting.
On the other hand, the special prize for hospitality 2020 in Lorca of € 300 went to "Pizzeria D Antojo" for the decoration of lighting used on the terrace and windows.
As for Puerto Lumbreras, the establishment that won the first prize and the € 400 was Estudio Fotogr fico Moman.
The jury has highlighted that their product is shown with the decorative intention of breaking with the preconceived, they have taken it out of context and creatively turns their photographs into "balls" of a Christmas tree.
At the compositional level, it generates rhythm and movement through a game of different exhibition scales in a fixed entity (the showcase), thereby provoking the curiosity to contemplate the originality of its product.
The magnificence of light with which it transmits the Christmas spirit and projects the "Raquel y Soraya hairdresser" window to any passerby, and the beautiful and simple composition of "La petite Memen" have made them worthy of the second and third prize, 300 and 150 euros.
As for the special hostelry award in Puerto Lumbreras, it has been deserted.
The jury, made up of a commission made up of interior designers from Lorca who are members of the Official College of Interior Designers / Decorators of the Region of Murcia (CODID), who this year have collaborated with the camera for the realization of the contest, has been composed of Marina Valenti, Mari Carmen Hern ndez and Pedro Luis Cano.
The jury wanted to convey the effort of many of the participating businesses and the difficulty in finally deciding on the winners, since they are aware of the work carried out by many of the shop windows that this year have been left without recognition.
For the second consecutive year, two prizes of € 200 have also been raffled in each municipality, among all those who have participated in the social networks Facebook and Instagram by publishing photographs of the windows of the participating businesses.
The lucky ones are Fabi n P rez, for a publication of the ptica Siroco showcase in Lorca, and Virginia Garc a Miñarro, sharing the Grecco Moda showcase of Puerto Lumbreras.
After congratulating the winners, Juan Francisco G mez, President of the Corporation, highlighted "the commitment of the businessmen of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras who, with the difficulties of this year, have continued one more year decorating its shop windows, with the aim that strolling through the streets of our cities at this time makes us happy and excited, and makes us forget for a moment what 2020 has brought us.
The awards ceremony was held at the Chamber's headquarters today, Wednesday, December 23, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr.
Juan Francisco G mez, the Councilor for Commerce of the City Council, was present.
