Antonia P rez: "We continue to take advantage of these holiday periods to carry out all the possible improvements that we have been collecting from the requests of the educational communities and the associations of fathers and mothers".
The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia P rez, has reported on the repair and improvement actions that are being carried out in various schools in the municipality.
P rez pointed out that "with the aim of continuing to improve the schools in our municipality, without causing difficulties when teaching classes, we have taken advantage of this Christmas holiday period to carry out various improvements in 13 schools." "In total, from the City Council of Lorca, through the Department of Education, we have invested 66,119.31 euros in repair and improvement work in more than a dozen schools throughout the municipal term ".
The mayor has detailed that "in the Colegio de La Torrecilla we have proceeded to replace the concrete pavement of the playground, after demolishing the one it had due to the poor condition in which it was, an action n for which we have invested 5,396 euros.
And, at the Ana Caicedo School we have placed a fence on the wall of the garage with a budget of 949.85 euros ".
"In the Casa del Niño School we have reformed the children's toilet and we have proceeded to fix one of the roofs that had perforations for which we have invested 8,470 and 2,226.40 euros, respectively.
While in the schools of La Hoya and Petra Gonz lez have installed a water softener in the center's water system to avoid the continuous breakdowns that have been occurring.
Some works that have involved an investment of 4,634 euros.
" P rez Segura has indicated that "in the Colegio de San Crist bal we have repaired the roof of the center as there were continuous water leaks in classrooms and corridors, an action worth 3,025 euros, and in the College Pasico - Campillo we have proceeded to complete the perimeter steel, some work for which we have invested 10,986.80 euros ".
"At the José Robles School, exterior sinks have been incorporated for hand washing, with the aim of providing the center with one more tool for children's hygiene and maximizing the anti-Covid protocol, with an investment of 2,839.63 euros.
And, at the Andr s Garc a Soler School we have created a new lateral access to the center with a budget of 4,712.95 euros ".
The councilor added that "in the schools of Purias and Almendricos we are proceeding to replace the blinds that were seriously affected by DANA and, for this, we have invested a total of 13,582.53 euros and in the College of Morata blinds have been placed in the classrooms, investing 2,292.95 euros ".
"And at the P rez de Hita School we have implemented the coverage of children's access to offer protection against rain for an amount of 1,485 euros as well as the reform of the interior toilets of the children's classrooms, to what we have invested 5,517.6 euros ".
Antonia P rez has shown that "this government team is committed to the well-being of its students, the urban area, our neighborhoods and our districts, so investing in the improvement of infrastructures educational is a primary objective for the City of Lorca and, therefore, we continue to take advantage of these holiday periods to carry out all the possible improvements that we have been collecting from the requests of the educational communities and parents' associations ".
