| Lorca's Popular Party, endorses the IU's failed speech, trying to knock down the bonuses in the tax ordinances obtained in November thanks to Vox Lorca | They use demagoguery to deceive merchants and hoteliers with some amendments that were already branded illegal in November. The Municipal Group IU Lorca has advised merchants and hoteliers in the presentation of allegations to the project of fiscal ordinances of the municipality, specifically to the discount of 75% of the IBI for premises in which a commercial or hospitality activity is developed. These allegations were presented and rejected previously, on November 5, for not being adjusted to the precepts of the General Tax Law. Despite this, IU together with PP, use merchants and hoteliers to try to force the adoption of an agreement that does not comply with the law and that if approved, would mean the paralysis of all the bonuses approved in November , including the exemption of the payment of the Tax for occupation of public domain for hoteliers and the discount of 75% of the IBI to premises related to commercial activity among others. What makes us think that the sole objective of these allegations is to prevent the bonuses approved thanks to the Municipal Vox Group from prospering, which included, among others, bonuses to companies for job creation, bonuses in the ICIO for companies and self-employed, exemption from payment of the tax for occupation of public land and a 75% discount on the IBI for premises involved in commercial activity. PP and IU, use demagoguery, making merchants and hoteliers believe that what was labeled illegal in November, can be accepted in plenary session a month later. From our Municipal Group, we have maintained the same position now as on November 5, to get the maximum possible bonus in the IBI and to articulate the mechanism to make it reach the maximum possible number of merchants , impacting the benefit on whoever carries out the activity. But always with a strict observance of legality. Otherwise, there is a risk that once the proceedings to receive the bonus are started, they may be rejected, with the consequent damage that it entails, but we already know that this does not matter to PP and IU. Bonuses to companies for job creation. Bonuses for new projects that are installed in the polygons of the municipality. Bonuses in the ICIO for companies and the self-employed. Exemption in the payment of the fee for occupation of the public domain for hospitality for 2021. Bonuses that reflect both the need for immediate help to the sectors most affected by the pandemic, and the need to attract new investments to the municipality, diversifying the productive fabric and creating quality employment.
