The City Council of Lorca, thanks to the Municipal Emergency and Civil Protection Service, has applied this extraordinary reinforcement that will allow the opening of this room during these holidays and reminds users of the importance of continuing to respect the rules security against COVID-19.
The Councilors of Youth and Culture of the City of Lorca, Jos ngel Ponce and Mar a ngeles Mazuecos respectively, have reported, this morning, that the study room located in the basement of the Cultural Center "Alcalde Jos Mar a Campoy "will open, in an extraordinary way, on December 31 and from January 1 to 6, both included, from 9 a.m.
to 10:45 p.m., while the rest of the days it will remain open in regular hours, from 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m., with closure from 2 p.m.
to 3 p.m.
for cleaning and disinfection of this space.
According to the councilors, "this extraordinary reinforcement will allow the opening of this room during these holidays in this space that, they remember, is open to 75% of its total capacity to comply with the measures that mark the restrictions by the pandemic".
In this sense, the council reminds all users "the importance of continuing to comply with the health safety regulations against COVID-19", for which they have insisted on "the mandatory use of a mask, extreme hand hygiene and social distance, as well as not leaving home if symptoms compatible with the disease appear ".
The Councilor for Youth explained that "with this extension of the schedule implemented by the City Council of Lorca, thanks to the Municipal Emergency and Civil Protection Service, we offer students the possibility of making use of this room while the works that, shortly, will make possible the opening of the first 24-hour study room that the city of Lorca will have thanks to a municipal investment of 32,000 euros ".
Specifically, this investment has made it possible to adapt a large study room of 150 square meters, located in the central Plaza del Ibreño, with a capacity for 60 people, access controlled by fingerprint and continuous surveillance, which will begin.
to give service during the next months once the adaptation works are finished.
