The national deputy, Marisol S nchez, together with the mayor of Lorca and secretary general of the PSOE in the municipality, Diego Jos Mateos, and the secretary general of the PSOE in the Region of Murcia and spokesman for the PSOE in the Regional Assembly, Diego Conesa, have detailed this morning the items for Lorca included in the General State Budgets for 2021.
S nchez explained that "the General State Budgets for 2021 are mainly marked by a global health pandemic and, for that very reason, they are budgets with a marked social component, some historical General State Budgets to fight.
n both in the health aspect and in the social aspect that has derived from the pandemic and that will help the people who these circumstances have left in precarious situations ".
"In this sense, these budgets include a revaluation of pensions, which will affect more than 17,600 Lorca; an increase for the Region of Murcia of 600 million euros in the dependency provision; an increase in paternity leave going from 12 to 16 weeks and that will benefit 600 Lorca; an increase in scholarships of more than 95 million euros from which 2,700 Lorca will benefit; a Shock Plan for Youth Employment that will benefit 1,753 residents of Lorca and an increase of 8.49 million euros in the items allocated to the State Violence Pact ".
S nchez J dar has celebrated "the start of the vaccination against Covid-19 in the municipality of Lorca, which is also possible thanks to these budgets that have an item of 1,000 million euros to pay for vaccines that will serve to protect the health of the citizens of Lorca, an item that only in itself already justifies the need for these Budgets ".
The deputy has detailed that "in particular, these Budgets have taken into account great needs for Lorca and the people of Lorca as they include the construction of the Palace of Justice, a project budgeted at 16.557 million euros, for next year it is planned an investment of 1 million euros for the beginning of the execution of the works.
A project that the Popular Party of Lorca has questioned, since it left the municipal government, an issue with which it has tried to deceive its neighbors but that, as we have already warned, the Socialist Party now provides twice the budget than the PP for the construction of the Palace of Justice and the site planned for its creation ".
"Another of the major executions included in these budgets is the 1.4 million euros for the restoration of the Church of San Juan and thus culminate the rehabilitation and enhancement of all the churches in the upper neighborhoods de Lorca and, with it, the revaluation of the historical and cultural heritage of our municipality ".
S nchez has indicated that "the financial provision has also been included to carry out the improvements in the drinking water treatment station in Lorca, which has a total budget of 6.5 million euros.

The national deputy has specified that "regarding the Murcia-Almería high-speed line, it has a total budget of 497,269 million euros and for next year it is planned to use 35 million euros.
The inclusion of the tender for the informative study of the Granada-Baza-Lorca railway branch has been achieved and which is included within the general items of the budget of the Ministry of Transport and which will be produced in a short time " .
"The desalination of water has been a historical alternative complementary to the rest of the water resources that the Region of Murcia has, defended by the Socialist Party, to cover the water needs of our field, of our agriculture and our livestock and if it is committed to it as a complementary alternative it is also necessary to provide them with investment, so in the General State Budgets for 2021 an item of 1 million euros is included to increase the activity capacity at the guilas desalination plant and for the Valdelentisco desalination plant more than 725,000 euros to improve energy efficiency and expand it ".
Marisol S nchez J dar highlighted that "we have obtained a 3 million euro item from the Ministry of Transport for housing, for actions related to housing in the municipal district of Lorca, the actions will be detailed over the next year.
And the project for the conservation and restoration of the mural paintings of the Convent of the Virgen de las Huertas are also included within these budgets and are currently in process of administrative economic processing in the Ministry of Culture and Sports ".
The national deputy has insisted that "each and every one of the items that have been detailed are included in the General State Budgets, some Budgets that the Popular Party has voted against putting its political interests ahead ahead of the needs of their neighbors ".
For his part, the mayor of Lorca and general secretary of the PSOE in the municipality, Diego Jos Mateos, has indicated that "they are General State Budgets that include very beneficial items for Lorca, very necessary and very well received" but he wanted to highlight "the disappointment of the non-inclusion of the discount of 50 percent of the IBI for the properties of the urban area in the General State Budgets for 2021".
"It has been very difficult to include this discount in the Budgets since there are many municipalities that are in similar circumstances to those that we Lorca and Lorca experienced after the earthquakes of 2011 due to the cat Natural disasters such as floods that have occurred in recent months, the time that has elapsed since the earthquakes occurred and, of course, the health pandemic that the entire country is suffering and for which it has been a huge investment of financial resources is necessary to guarantee everyone's safety.

The mayor of Lorca recalled that "the Government of the Nation is a coalition government and it is for when things go well and for when decisions are made that we do not like so much.
This decision has been made by the Socialist Party of Spain but also the United Left and Podemos since decisions are taken collectively.

Diego Jos Mateos has shown that "we are satisfied with the investments that have come for issues such as the restoration of the church of San Juan, the mural paintings of the Convent of the Virgen de las Huertas, for housing or for the improvement of the drinking water supply of our municipality and the construction of the Palace of Justice, recalling that the amount foreseen by the PP was 8 million euros, which was shown to be unfeasible for the entire project, and that now it has been doubled, having a budget of 16 million euros, which will guarantee that in the coming years the Palace of Justice will finally be a reality in our city.
