[The mayor of Lorca congratulates the Lorca writers Inmaculada Pelegr and Juan de Beatriz for the recent awards received (04/01/2021)

The poet Inma Pelegr n has been awarded the XXIV International Poetry Prize 'Antonio Machado en Baeza' awarded by the City of Baeza (Ja n), with her collection of poems 'All directions'; while Juan de Beatriz has received the 'Emilio Prados' International Poetry Award, convened by the Generación del 27 center of the Diputaci n de Málaga for his book of poems 'Cantar qu '.

The mayor of Lorca, Diego Jos Mateos, has congratulated this morning, at the official reception that took place at the City Hall, the writers from Lorca, Inmaculada Pelegr and Juan de Beatriz for the recent awards they have received.

The mayor of Lorca has detailed that "Lorca's Mar a Inmaculada Pelegr n L pez has won the XXIV International Poetry Prize 'Antonio Machado en Baeza', awarded by the Baeza City Council, with her collection of poems" All directions ", under the pseudonym Lola Quiñonero", in the Hiperi n publishing house, which come to join the previous Ibero-American Juan Ram n Jim nez and international Gerardo Diego awards in the Pre-texts publishing house.

A prestigious contest to which this edition has presented a total of 183 works from countries as remote as the United States, Slovakia, Ecuador, Mexico, Cuba or France.

In addition, Pelegr n received the Pulchrum Prize for up to a few months, convened by O_Lumen and the Project God in Contemporary Literature, in its first edition.

Diego Jos Mateos has explained that "Pelegr n's winning work is composed of a total of three poems inspired by the search for spirituality and entitled 'Thanksgiving', 'Signs 'and' Oratio ', resulting winner in a contest to which almost 400 works were presented ".
