| The actions consist of widening the Aguaderas road and reinforcing the road surface that connects Lorca with Aguilas | The Autonomous Community will invest about 3 million euros in two works to improve the regional roads that run through the municipal area of ??Lorca for a value of 2,964,343 euros.
It is about the reinforcement of the road surface that connects Lorca with Aguilas (RM-11), and the widening of the RM-D8 regional road that connects the municipality of Lorca with the area of ??the countryside of the pedan as del Aguaderas environment, communicating through the Sierra de Almenara with Campo L pez and Morata.
The general director of Roads, Jos Antonio Fern ndez Llad , explained that the performance of the RM-D8 "will give continuity this next year to another work that was done on that road a few years ago , and now we complete by widening the platform, which allows two heavy vehicles to cross in adequate safety conditions.
" He stressed that this work will benefit the more than 377,000 vehicles that pass through it annually.
He indicated that in some sections where the aforementioned widening is not feasible, since it is a mountain road in which the route adapts to orographic conditions, the action will be limited to widening the road by forming wedges and improving some curves, but always within the current path.
The action will also include the prolongation of the transversal drainage of the regional route.
Fern ndez Llad announced that next year the road surface that connects Lorca with guilas (RM-11) will also be strengthened in a 3.6 kilometer section.
The action on this regional road will also include the repainting of the entire length of the highway, the repair of one of the service roads, and works on elements of containment of vehicles in the stretch of road reinforcement.
