[The consequences derived from the health crisis close a year 2020 with an increase of 1,077 people in the unemployment rate of the municipality (05/01/2021)

Isabel Casalduero: "the Christmas campaign has allowed an increase in the number of hires in the service sector and throughout this year we hope that the health situation will allow us to recover the positive trend that we have maintained in recent months with respect to the employment rate between Lorca and Lorca " The Councilor for Employment and Local Development of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has taken stock of the unemployment data in the municipality of Lorca corresponding to the year 2020 that have been published by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF).

The Councilor for Employment and Local Development has pointed out that "2020 has been a very complicated year, we have experienced an unprecedented health situation that has caused and continues to cause consequences at not only health levels because the economy is being seriously affected.Businessmen, freelancers and, ultimately, workers are suffering the effects of Covid-19 and proof of this is that the municipality of Lorca has closed 2020 with 5,593 people unemployed ".

Casalduero explained that "according to data from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) office in Lorca, the number of unemployed in December 2020 has increased by 1,077 people with respect to data from December 2019 ".

The mayor of Local Development has detailed that "specifically, last December closed with an increase of 34 people in the unemployment rate, increasing by 8 people in the agricultural sector, 10 in the industrial sector and 9 in construction.

On the other hand, the number of unemployed in the service sector has been reduced, in which during this month of December the number of hiring has grown by 18 people ".

Casalduero J dar added that "the Christmas campaign has increased the number of hires in the service sector and throughout this year we hope that the health situation will allow us to recover the positive trend that we have maintained over the last few years months with respect to the employment rate between Lorca and Lorca because during the period of state of alarm and confinement decreed in April and until August there was a very considerable increase throughout the regional and state scope.

" Isabel Casalduero has insisted that "this Government team has worked hard from the first moment and will continue working to help as much as possible the entrepreneurs and freelancers of our municipality who are being affected by the consequences derived from it.
