[Antonio Esp n: "from the Socialist Party we are not going to allow the Popular Party to continue inventing the hoaxes that it publishes daily on the new Education Law (08/01/2021)

|" hoaxes to frighten families since their statements they are ill-intentioned lies "| "Another of the great attempts at manipulation that the PP is making, and perhaps the most serious, lying about the closure of special education centers since they are not going to close, forgetting in addition to the fact that the competence to close educational centers for both special and ordinary education is exclusively the Regional Government, Mr.

López Miras ".

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Antonia P rez, along with the regional deputy of the PSRM, Antonio Esp n, have offered a press conference in which they have detailed the new Education Law, the LOMLOE, and its benefits.

In addition, they have held a meeting with the representatives of the FAMPA of Lorca, the director of the College of Special Education Pilar Soubrier and the president of the Association of Early Attention Parents, APAT Lorca.

Antonia P rez thanked the regional deputy for the visit to Lorca "to explain the true characteristics and potential that the new Education Law, LOMLOE, brings with it.

A law elaborated with the objective that no boy and no girl are left behind, to specifically meet the needs of all male and female students ".

For his part, the Regional deputy has assured that "from the Socialist Party we are not going to allow the Popular Party to continue inventing the hoaxes that, on a daily basis, it publishes about the new Education Law hoaxes to frighten families since their claims are ill-intentioned lies and with mere political interest.

" Antonio Esp n has insisted that "LOMLOE has been designed to improve the quality of our educational system and move towards a more inclusive, respectful, plural, sustainable, digital model based on the integral development of all the student body and that the public education system adapts to the social challenges of the present and the future ".

The regional deputy of the PSRM explained that "all parents will be able to continue choosing the educational center for their children, what the LOMLOE proposes is a coherent distribution of students, the proximity to the house or the holding of siblings in the center, in case the center receives more requests for access than the capacity of places ".

"The problem is that for the PP the freedom of choice of center is based on continuing to allow an indiscriminate and unnecessary concertation of educational centers.

What this new Law does is to be faithful to the ideology of the PSOE, to defend the concerted school as a complement to public education but a concerted one that follows the same rules as public education because both courses are financed with the taxes of all citizens ".

Antonio Esp n has highlighted "another of the great attempts at manipulation that the PP is making, and perhaps the most serious, lying about the closure of special education centers since they are not leaving to close, also forgetting that the competence to close educational centers for both special and ordinary education is exclusively the Regional Government, Mr.

López Miras.

" "What the Law proposes is that, within a period of 10 years, the educational administration has to provide ordinary centers with the resources that allow it to comprehensively serve students with special educational needs and that their families and a committee of experts decide their integration into the center.

A measure that pursues the firm objective of advancing in the full inclusion of people with disabilities in our country, a measure required by the UN or the School Council of the State".

The regional deputy has indicated that "with regard to repetition, one of the great evils of our educational system, which Spain has been abusing for many years and which does not solve the problem of school failure, what the new Law proposes is evaluation.

Not by competences, not so much by memory content as up to now, nor segregated by standards as the LOMCE did, but by competencies of the students so that the teaching team that works with them daily can decide, collegially, if the student has sufficient skills to pass the course or not ".

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca and the regional deputy of the Socialist Party of the Region of Murcia have wanted with these statements and with the meeting held with various educational entities of the municipality to clarify all doubts about the new Law of Education and put an end to the lies of a Popular Party focused on deceiving citizens.
