[The Lorca City Council opens the deadline to participate in the XXXVI Children's Story Contest 'Premio Mar�a Fern�ndez-Luna' (17/01/2021)

The mayor of Education, Antonia P�rez, recalled that in this contest the students of Early Childhood Education, Primary and Open Classroom from the different educational centers of our municipality will be able to participate.

The Councilor for Education of the City Council of Lorca, Antonia P�rez, has reported that the bases of the XXXVI Children's Story Contest 'Mar�a Fern�ndez-Luna Award' have already been published for students from schools in our municipality who study between Early Childhood Education and 6th of Primary Education.

The Councilor for Education has indicated that "this contest will consist of several groups, A for Early Childhood Education students; B for 1st and 2nd Primary; C for 3rd and 4th.

°; D for those who are in the 5th and 6th grades of Primary; and, finally, the E for those who do it in the Open Classroom ".

Antonia P�rez has detailed that "the subject will be free, and with the exception of Early Childhood Education, the maximum length of the story, apart from the illustrations, will be two pages per a single side, handwritten, these are essential conditions to be able to participate, since all those jobs that do not fulfill them will be automatically eliminated " P�rez Segura has added that "the creations will be endorsed by a teacher belonging to the same center as the participating student, who will be in charge of certifying that the student is the author of said text" .

Regarding the presentation, the mayor explained that "it can be done at the Pilar Barn�s Municipal Library, located in Plaza Real, until next April 7.

The stories must include, obligatorily , name and surname of the author, age, name of the school and the course in which he is enrolled ".

The jury's decision will be announced during the month of April and the prizes within each of the groups will be, in group A, a batch of books valued at 150€ and a diploma for the first; a batch of books valued at 100€ and a diploma for the second; and a batch of books valued at 75€ and diploma, for the third.

In group B, C and D, a batch of books valued at 150€ and a diploma for the winner; lot of books valued at 100€ and diploma, for the second classified; and a batch of books valued at 75€ and a diploma for the third.

And in group E, the first prize will receive a batch of books valued at € 100 and a diploma for the best individual story for the first prize, and a batch of books valued at € 100 and a diploma for the best story collective presented by the Open Classroom.

While the special Illustration Prize will be recognized with a batch of books valued at 100€ and a diploma.

Likewise, lots of books valued at 100€ will be awarded to the school libraries of the schools to which the children who win the First Prize belong.

In addition, the jury may award a diploma and lots of books valued at 50€ to those stories it considers finalists up to a maximum of two for each group.

Finally, the mayor of Education has encouraged all educational centers "to participate in this contest, which is now in its thirty-sixth edition and which each year increases in terms of the number of participants.
