The mayor of Lorca explained that "the objective of the work carried out in these facilities has been to adapt them to the social and health situation we are currently experiencing, in addition to being able to offer both professionals and users a better quality for the value of more than 37,000 euros ".

Diego José Mateos has specified that "among the improvements, surveillance cameras have been installed inside the building, as well as two other web cameras, Wi-Fi amplifiers, in addition to the acquisition of four new laptops." "Shade awnings have also been installed, to alleviate the excess temperature suffered by the professionals who provide services in the care offices, an exterior roof to make the waiting of family members more adequate, to which is added the installation of five hepa filters, a job center, as well as the acquisition of transparent masks (intended for speech therapists and LSE professionals), FFP2 masks and other surgical-type masks for staff ".

Mateos Molina has detailed that "to these improvements are also added the installation of two security / emergency doors, as well as the main sensor access door, the improvement of the exterior lighting of the building, which has been in the dark for many years , and for that reason we want to congratulate the municipal Electric Service for the speed with which they have carried out this work, which is going to influence the improvement of the visibility and safety of the users who come to this center every day ".

The mayor of Lorca has reiterated that "we continue to make investments to maintain these facilities in the best possible conditions, since weekly about 600 users pass through these dependencies, in which nine associations develop their work with families from different groups, who come to carry out an adequate therapy adapted to their needs, in short, we continue to add, improving the conditioning and the needs that these groups present ".

The Mayor has insisted that "from the City Council, through the Oenegés Department, we are looking for the best way for these groups to work here, but we are aware that the associative movement in this area is growing so much that we have to look for municipal offices in other areas of Lorca, and be able to allocate them to these associations.

It is clear that these facilities have been very limited, so we do not rule out the construction of another plant, for which we are already looking for the necessary resources ".
