The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the councilman of Youth council of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz, closed today the National Youth Conference, Leisure and ICT (Information and Communication), which Lorca have developed in 1 and 2 July.
The training event has brought together a total of 70 technicians, trainers and professionals who work with youth.
The lectures and conferences have been held have covered topics such as social change in youth culture and use of ICTs and their use of Internet youth and social networking.
Lopez said that "these days aim to get closer to the reality of young people, their relationship and their use of new technologies."
In the various workshops have involved university professors and Ramon Llull Oberta de Catalunya, University of Navarra and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid, technical services, youth information and documentation as well as the Youth Observatory of Spain.
The conference is organized jointly by the Youth Institute of Spain, Murcia and Lorca.
The event is part of the Training Plan that the Youth Institute annually organizes various activities for training, retraining and upgrading of young people, technicians, members of associations and youth organizations in the field of animation and time education free, and programs for youth in the field of informal education.
Since 1998 the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia has performed, among other things, a conference year with a topic of interest related to young people each year are performed in a different municipality, and this year has been made in Lorca, on this occasion also coincide with the celebration of the first National Olympiad Leisure, in which more than 20,000 young people in Spain.
