The Councillor for Culture in the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, with the President of the "Gang of Souls Aguaderas" Pedro Sanchez Cultural Association presented this morning the new publication was edited by the city council consisting of a "Treaty instruments for popular music in the eighteenth to twentieth centuries" and that will be released officially on Friday at 20:00 h at an event which will stage the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia, and will, furthermore, with the exposure of a large battery of instrumental period accompanied by a concert with these parts.

Llamas Gómez said that working on the preservation of both tangible and intangible heritage they carry crews and collective spirits with similar characteristics as idiosyncratically Lorca from City Hall.

In this case we speak of stringed instruments such as guitar, guitarrillos, guitarros, soprano, tenor guitarro, lutes and mandolins, with light percussion tambourines, cymbals and castanets.

The main objective of the publication, which contains more than 150 historical photographs, is to protect the instrumental fabric used for popular music since the late sixteenth century, the expansion of these three continents where their use is known;

an analysis of the building techniques employed, also commenting on the aesthetic details thereof, among which we find several curiosities;

a chapter management where the overall operation of the assembly said, and how to play and refine the various models, as accurate and physics numerous and widespread presence of these popular cordófonos test

This catalog of ancient instruments begins in Lorca and spans much of the national territory, this gathering instruments dating from the early eighteenth century, produced in the provinces of Guadalajara, Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona.

technical measures for each of the more than 70 instruments listed addresses, facilitating the accurate reproduction thereof if it deems a luthier.

As an unprecedented and very interesting issue locally, Chapter VIII, entitled The guitarists in Lorca, argues development in the city, this craft guild that is documented as late s.

XVI and extends until mid-twentieth century.

In this period it is detected in the city a total of 18 guitarists, sticking a time we might call gold, dating from the second half of s.

XIX, period in which six workshops Guitarrería working simultaneously were counted.

All this information is documented with data from census registers, major contracts, in which orders of more than 200 tools and photographs of the labels used by some of Lorca guitarreros is.

As Lorca is surprising to see the strength that once had this guild.

Note the uniqueness of this work, not locally, but also nationally, because enough has been written about the string instruments related to classical music, but nothing had been written so far about his relationship with popular music, embodied in our town in bores crews.

In fact, so remarkable in the country as Vihuela Society, partnerships have been interested in this publication.

We also review the intense work of documentation of this work, not only in the Municipal Archives but in many literary musical works, organological or.

Pulling in the same general age of the "Book of Good Love" by Juan Ruiz, and this includes instrumental references to the year 2007 with studies on the vihuela, gathering the communications presented in Gijón study in 2002 .

so valuable as a teaching collection, because in this you can see the set of instruments described in the book, as well as the evolution over time of a so called instrument is the guitar.
