Development allocates 2.7 million euros to urban redevelopment of the neighborhood of El Calvario de Lorca (01/03/2016)

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Francisco Barnabas, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, today visited the neighborhood of El Calvario and checked the status of the works that are running, which are part of comprehensive renovation project of the Barrios Altos the historic center of town, where the regional government is investing more than 10.5 million euros.

Bernabe said the performance in El Calvario, which are to earmark 2.7 million euros, "will involve the complete renovation of the neighborhood."

Also, the Minister presented the project to improve access to the historic environment and hermitages in the neighborhood of El Calvario, which has been agreed with the neighbors and the Paso Morado, for which the Community will invest 550,000 euros.
