The Department of oenegés encourages all Lorca to participate in the acts included in Autism Week (01/04/2016)

Hiking and lunch of coexistence, public awareness talks, shares of media and social visibility, as well as the provision of special lighting in blue of the Plaza de Calderon, major events program activities.

Councilwoman oenegés in the city of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, has reported that our city is hosting the celebration of the Week of Autism, organized by the Association of Parents of Early Care (Apat), being developed in the house of the oenegés.

It is a distributed two days of lectures and training that has the presence of two speakers of proven relevance dissemination and awareness of autism event.

Edil oenegés said that autism and other disabilities are part of the human experience that contributes to human diversity.

Therefore, the United Nations has emphasized the need to mainstream disability in the development agenda of the Organization.

To incorporate disability is necessary to adopt a comprehensive approach in the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs in all political, economic and societal spheres so that inequality is not perpetuated.

In September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved the new Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030, an ambitious program that includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) and 169 goals that promise that no one will be left behind.

We must remember that the United Nations General Assembly unanimously declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day to highlight the need to improve the quality of life of autistic children and adults so they can have a life full and dignified.

Mínguez Silvente explained that activities in Lorca began Thursday with a sharing in which he had Manuel Arts, coordinator of the Center for Child and Adolescent Area III Mental Health, along with Isabel Casbas, psychologist and Director delCentro Municipal Early Care Lorca Fina Navarro Lopez, Maria Jose Martin, a degree in social work from the University of Granada and Director of the evaluation unit of the IMAS Lorca disability, and María José Méndez García, psychologist and speech therapist Municipal Service Center early.

Joining them he was presented the experience of a mother of a child with autism.

Diego De la Ossa, was responsible for translating sign language introduction for all attendees.

Edil oenegés anticipated that today's session Friday 1 April, with the participation of Lorena Fajardo and Almudena Negrete, recognized professionals and experts in the field of autism.

The events planned include today at 20:15 h on in special blue lighting of the Plaza de Calderon, an initiative that takes place for the second consecutive year and are invited to participate to all citizens.

Day 2 Saturday morning, drawing the participation of a mother associated with this group in a test of Mountain Bike in Puerto Lumbreras, autism information will be disseminated in order to give greater visibility and promote public awareness in general.

To close the Autism Week 10 d April 1 hiker march will start from the place of Pylons to go to Valentine's Cejo, and from the place of departure, where a convivial meal will take place will take place.
