The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, has announced the celebration of the First Cycle Theme Spring Concert by the Municipal Band under the direction of Antonio Manzanera.
Llamas stressed that "through three concerts celebrating the spring, filling our town the best music. Specifically, the concerts will be held on Thursday, May 5, June 2 and June 16 in the Concert Hall of the Municipal School Music, Calle Greece Zone Cat. All begin at 21 hours. "
As for the theme of the concert, the mayor has said that "the concert on Thursday will consist of songs from different American music. So, we can hear compositions from West Side Story, Cabaret, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins or Grease" .
"The concert on June 2 will consist of a repertoire of jazz. Attendees will enjoy songs like the Pink Panther, Fit, Jazyy, Little Brown or Moonlight Serenade, vintage best jazz Municipal Band will perform with professionalism to which we are accustomed. "
As for the concert of June 16, Llamas has indicated that "we can hear compositions of the move of the year, 60, 70 and 80. They will be interpreted themes of ABBA, Frank Sinatra, Elvis or Simon and Garfunkel group, among other performers recognized ".
