The reconstruction is unfinished] | Lorca IU-Green |

Building processes remain slow and painful for the victims.

The Historic not see the light.

The economic recovery is coming.

And the EIB investments need of a thorough investigation.

It has been very little progress in establishing protocols and security alarm.

Neither earthquake resistant standard, or technical building code have been updated.

Jose Garcia Murcia, spokesman councilor of the municipal group of IU-Greens in the city of Lorca, before the V anniversary of seismic events of May 2011, took stock of the process and directed his first words to the memory of those killed and those injured by the earthquake.

He also remembered the victims of Ecuador and has claimed that Spain can provide much help to the country.

As the reconstruction process Councilman IU regretted that after five years there are still about 1,500 people outside his home.

The Barrio de San Fernando is being raised without guarantees of completion.

That have been unresolved disputes with the Insurance Compensation Consortium to demolish and rebuild the buildings subsequently "Almendros" and "Avda. De Portugal" and that the Autonomous Community has paralyzed the specific housing aid plan for Lorca.

As for the historic, García Murcia has reiterated his criticism of the government team for the slowness of its management, lamenting that after five years the discussion is in the same point as the beginning, that there is not a consensus document and that the implementation of economic measures only part of the imagination and best wishes.

As for the EIB investments, García Murcia has again recognized as an important economic pillar which however is not being managed in the best way.

Especially by the inability of the government team to generate consensus and collective illusion about the projects that are underway or are announced.

In this respect, Councilman Garcia Murcia has re-emphasized the need to audit investments and verify the relationship between money spent and work done.

Finally, the council has referred to what he called "lessons learned" to point out that unfortunately learning has been limited, as revealed during the earthquake last Tuesday, May 3, where it has been note the absence of a coordinated security plan.

In this sense the council has claimed update "Local Plan Safety and Civil Protection".

And at the national level has requested that the necessary means for updating the anti-seismic regulations and technical building code matching.
