Councillor for Culture in the City of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, this morning with his author, Antonio Manzanera, the new march of procession, "Virgen de las Huertas" a special piece that is specifically dedicated to the patron saint of Lorca .

Llamas is anticipated that this work will be publicly presented to all Lorca on Wednesday May 18 at the Palace of Guevara at 20:30

The mayor of Culture explained that the composition, particularly written for brass band, was prepared by Antonio Manzanera López, Director of the Municipal Band of Lorca, and is intended to accompany the image of the Real de las Huertas processions carried out during the year and, especially, throughout the months of May and September.

Llamas Gomez said that the procession march entitled "Virgen de las Huertas", takes about 5 minutes and is the first march of its kind that is dedicated to the patron saint of Lorca.

In this musical piece, small pieces of music related to Lorca, as the Hymn of minstrels and Touch Cabildo that make the anthem of the City of Lorca, as well as a small melodic cell Hymn to the Virgin de las Huertas, written appear in the past by Franciscan father Samuel Prats.

This is the fourth musical work of this kind that writes Antonio Manzanera, and dedicated to lorquinas images, antecediéndole to this, other marches dedicated to the Risen Christ of the Confraternity of the same name, San Clemente, Patron of Lorca and the Virgin of the bitterness, Head of White Pass.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Municipal Band of Lorca, that the March, the Hymn to the Virgin de las Huertas and the Jota Lorquina mentioned and the Ave Maria Charles Gounod interpret and are expected to attend among others, the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the Councillor for Culture, Agustin Llamas Gómez and the President of the Brotherhood of the Virgen de las Huertas, Maria Isabel Gimenez Simon, all Lorca who wish being invited to the event.
