Those affected by the closure of San Diego SUAP continue with the demonstrations until the agreements of the regional Assembly not materialize (17/05/2016)

Those affected by the closure of the Emergency Department of Primary Care (SUAP) of San Diego continue with their protests until the Health Department of the autonomous government enable Point Continuous Care (PAC) in its health center, as was approved by the Regional Assembly last Thursday.

The agreement, adopted unanimously by the political groups represented in the regional parliament, requires the Executive Murcia SUAP the reopening of San Diego, which will have to be subjected to a thorough renovation.

For this there is already a budget that neighbors asked to be executed before January 1, 2017.

Meanwhile, as decided at the regional Assembly, the Health Center San Diego will open in the afternoon and evening and on weekends, to prevent the immediate neighborhoods, San Diego, San Cristobal, Apolonia , Los Angeles and the districts of Rio and Tertia, left without emergency care.

In addition, this service must have a mobile ICU interhospital, as included in the request.

According to the president of the Neighborhood Association Rabaleros, Fermina Giner, "so far we have only neighboring words and good intentions."

For this reason, until the agreements do not materialize and those affected regain the right to decent, comprehensive and close healthcare, "we will continue alert and vindicating what is right and belongs to us," said Giner.

Neighbors will focus every Thursday from 20 to 20:30 on the doors of the health center of San Diego until it never again serve 24 hours.
