The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, reported today in Lorca that the regional government will continue rebuilding the city, "has our firm and unwavering support" with the improvement works of urbanization of neighborhoods Los Angeles and Apollonia and Alameda de Cervantes and construction of the first section of the Central round Lorca.

Pedro Rivera made the remarks after holding its first institutional meeting as an adviser to the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and local government team to discuss and plan the activities to be carried out in the city.

The responsible regional Development, accompanied by the management team of the Ministry, indicated that these rehabilitation projects are "very advanced" and that over the next few weeks "will go taking the steps necessary to materialize".

In this regard, he said that his department will proceed with the signing of the mixed contract for the drafting and execution of works for urban renewal in the neighborhood of Los Angeles and Apolonia in the city of Lorca, awarded last May 11 by the Governing Council in the amount of 3.8 million euros.

It has started the process of awarding the renovation project of the Alameda de Cervantes and adjacent urban spaces, opening and economic assessment of tenders submitted to the tender, which has had a budget of 4.5 million.

Similarly, it will be coming to the meeting of the Governing Council approval of the contract for the development of work on the first section of the Central round, a new road which will connect the neighborhoods of Apollonia and San Diego de Lorca and has a budget of 10.8 million euros.

Completed the relevant technical reports, the Ministry of Public Works will start the bidding process for urban renewal district Health-Cristo Rey, valued at 3.1 million and signed an agreement with the city of Lorca for the implementation of the regeneration performance spaces in the neighborhood of San Fernando by the consistory Lorca, with a budget of 2.6 million.

In the area of ​​roads, the technical team of the Directorate General is working to open the bidding process by publishing it in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia, works of the second tranche of the South Central Round with a budget 5.6 million, and extending the drainage capacity of the RM-11 (Lorca-Eagles) and RM-621 (Lorca Purias) road, crossing the Rambla de Viznaga, with two million.
