Local Police detained a person carrying a stolen laptop inside a College (21/06/2016)

The Councillor for Citizen Security in the city of Lorca, Maria Belen Perez, reported that members of the Unit for Prevention and Local Operational Response (UPROL) of the local police in our city have arrested a person who was caught carrying a laptop which it had been stolen from inside the school Juan Gonzalez.

Perez Martinez explained that an intervention is framed within the preventive / operational actions carried out by the Local Police.

The arrest was possible thanks to the work done in a routine check at Avenida Juan Carlos I, during which the agents found a person carrying a briefcase a laptop with similar characteristics to those that had been stolen from Juan Gonzalez interior of Lorca College in previous days.

Edil Security has indicated that local police officers, after making appropriate checks, could verify that the computer was listed as stolen from inside of that school, why proceeded to the intervention of the computer and the arrest of the person he was carrying, to then be transferred to units of the National Police in Lorca where he remained detained at the disposition of this body to clarify the facts and brought to justice.

Later, as a result of this arrest, agents of the National Police proceeded to the identification and arrest of all those involved in these events and the recovery of the two laptops stolen from that school.

Belen Perez has stated that these important arrests, constant preventive work / operations carried out by the Local Police Lorca through the units in which it is organized is confirmed and through monitoring devices established in the entire municipality and coordination with the rest of the Security Forces.
