50 youth benefit from a training program and orientation of the Gipsy Secretariat, the IMAS and the city of Lorca (05/07/2016)

The Aldermen of Social Policy and Employment of the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez and Eulalia Ibarra, reported together with the representative of the FSG, Jesus Salmeron, that 50 young people with difficulties in finding employment will benefit from a training program and guidance for the promotion of employment promoted by this entity with the support of the Consistory Lorca.

These Lorca unemployed between 16 and 29 years, or at risk of social exclusion, benefit from this project called "Ternibén" which is made possible by the Program Youth Guarantee subsidized by the Murciano Institute of Social Action of the Ministry of family of the region and the European Union.

Specifically, in order to improve employability, since the project began in January this year there have been two editions of the training course "Personal skills and employability skills" of those who have benefited so far 35 participants.

These courses has worked, among others, the powers of self-control, self-esteem, teamwork and self-confidence, always with the aim of facilitating their integration into the labor market.

The next training activities provided through this initiative will be held during the months of July and September in the CLD and the Municipal Training Centre of La Torrecilla, and include non-work placements for 15 participants from warehouseman and trade saleswoman, plus sizes in digital skills oriented job search and other self-employment, personal image, training for interviews, company visits, ...

Transversally, other actions career guidance will be made with individualized itineraries of labor and social inclusion, promotion of entrepreneurship, etc.

Parallel work is being carried out prospecting in order to sensitize the business community and get employment opportunities based on the profiles of beneficiaries and using recruitment subsidies for companies Youth Guarantee System.

Have also been carried out dynamic activities aimed at raising public awareness, activation and monitoring of participants, such as neighborhood cafés, preparation and celebration of April 8th as International Roma Day, workshops of equal treatment, crafts, meeting with youth anti-drug and healthy leisure activities and free time national plan.

In this sense, Fátima Mínguez recalled that "from Social Services City of Lorca have been derived to users who meet specific program requirements, meeting their needs. More specifically have priority in selecting those who would not have completed studies or work experience in a certain profile, who have a disability or children in their care, as well as those belonging to ethnic minorities such as the Roma population. "

Meanwhile, Ibarra said that "participants in this initiative would not only have tax benefits from contributing to the Social Security of the Ministry of Employment for people unemployed, at risk of exclusion, victims of domestic violence, persons disabled, etc, but the companies that hire them can also benefit from hiring incentives specific youth programs youth Guarantee, with a tax-exempt minimum of EUR 500 on permanent contracts, the young rate bonus 300 € for six months, an internship or training and learning and encouragement of part-time employment with formative relationship ".
