The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, through the Directorate General for Transport, coasts and ports, working with the City of Lorca in the process of taking the urban transport service by the municipality, in order to improve the delivery of transport public rating.
The Director General of Transport, coasts and ports, Salvador Garcia-Ayllón, and the Councillor for Transport of the City, Juan Miguel Bayones, accompanied by their respective teams, held a coordination meeting to provide the necessary technical assistance to lorquino consistory for taking over direct management of the service, once the current concessionaire has resigned.
During the meeting, the CEO reported that "the steps that have been made so far are adequate and has set where should be directed the next progress".
"This is to provide the best transportation service to users, since we are talking about an indispensable means for many citizens that allows them to move and access many services, such as health or education, and have a service controlled by the town hall, allowing cost savings and facilitating continuous improvement, "said the CEO.
